The findings and recommendations of the independent review into community pharmacy representation and support were published on Friday 19th June 2020.
With evidence of listening to over half of all contractors, almost all LPCs, PSNC members and employees in addition to similar external bodies, the report recommends widespread and significant changes.
The review team has made 33 recommendations, including the introduction of an independent governance and strategy oversight committee, replacement of the PSNC with a council constituted with LPC chairs and significantly increased funding for national negotiation activities.
A webinar on the review’s findings for community pharmacy contractors was held on 29th June 2020. View an on-demand version here.
